This Privacy Policy explains how Citizen Calculator: GST & EMI ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the App. We built this App to work as a self-contained, on-device calculator, and this policy reflects that design.

          In short: Citizen Calculator does not collect,
          transmit, sell, or share your personal data. There is no account, no
          cloud sync, no ads, and no third-party analytics. All calculations,
          history, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device
          only.
        

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect any personally identifiable information. Specifically, the App does not require or request:

Your name, email address, or phone number
Account registration or login credentials
Location data
Contacts, camera, microphone, or other sensitive device permissions
Advertising identifiers

2. Data Stored on Your Device

To provide its features, the App stores the following information locally on your own device, using your device's standard app storage:

Calculation history — used for the 120-Step Check & Correct audit trail, Auto Replay, and Grand Total (GT) register.
App preferences — such as your selected theme, decimal/rounding slider settings, custom GST/tax rates, and sound toggle.
EMI and unit converter inputs — used only to display results within the App.

This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party. Uninstalling the App, or clearing the App's data through your device settings, permanently removes this information.

3. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate third-party advertising networks (e.g., Google AdMob) and does not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs (e.g., Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics). No usage data is shared with third parties through the App.

If this changes in a future version of the App, this Privacy Policy will be updated in advance of that change, and, where required, you will be notified within the App.

4. Permissions

The App is designed to function without requesting sensitive device permissions. If any optional permission (for example, to enable haptic/sound feedback or to save an exported calculation) is ever requested, it will only be used for that stated purpose and is never used to collect personal data.

5. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13, because the App does not collect personal information from any user.

6. Data Security

Since all data stays on your device and is never transmitted, there is no server-side storage of your information to secure. We recommend using your device's built-in security features (such as a screen lock) to protect locally stored data.

7. Your Choices

You can clear calculation history at any time using the App's clear/reset functions.
You can uninstall the App at any time to remove all locally stored data.
You can review or change permissions granted to the App through your device's system settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's features or for legal reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Effective Date."
